Upcycle

Plastic has become a relevant issue in everyone's lives. It is accessible, lightweight, durable, however, most of all, it pollutes our world. We’ve heard this thousands of times, and for this reason we attempt to recycle. However, greed is in our human nature, thus, any issue only truly becomes an issue when our lives must fully be adjusted because of an issue we have neglected. Though we have recycled, we’ve learnt that it is not enough. Leaving us with a question: How can we convert the greed of a human to help the world? What we know about human greed is that what we find valuable is what people are willing to strive for. With this, money is the incentive people have to work. Having said that, wasted plastic is accessible everywhere. Therefore, upcycling is the answer for our plastic issue. With the combination of machines and sustainability, you are able to turn the plastic floating around the ocean into objects with value. Corporations are currently headed towards a greener future. These 21st century technologies that are being used in these corporations are taught in the upcycle movement, allowing teenagers to explore their passions and make money by doing it. Above all, upcycle is not about incentivising teenagers purley because of money, rather, it is an umbrella of knowledge about the power of proactivity, positivity and perspective, whilst teaching valuable entrepreneurial lessons.
